Bristol
Clifton Suspension Bridge spans the Avon Gorge linking Clifton in Bristol to Leigh Woods in North Somerset. Designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, it is a grade I listed landmark.
SS Great Britain designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel was the first iron-hulled and propeller driven ocean liner and is moored as a museum. Beside it is a replica of the Matthew in which John Cabot sailed from Bristol to North America in 1497. Beside the Industrial Museum the historic vessels include the steam tug Mayflower, firefloat Pyronaut and motor tug John King.
