Harbourside

Bristol Harbourside covers an area of 70 acres in the centre of the city. It has existed since the 13th century but was developed into its current form in the early 19th century by installing lock gates on a tidal stretch of the River Avon to provide a tidal by-pass for the river. It is called a floating harbour as the water level remains constant and is not affected by the state of the tide on the river.

Cards and postcards are on sale in the M-Shed Museum, on Bristol Harbourside.
Sue is a Photographic Artist creating contemporary affordable art from her photography of urban and rural architecture. Pictures are available via galleries or on-line, cards from museum gift shops and card retailers. Her art is used on web-sites and has featured in several magazines.
